Yes! We can do as little as review your current handbook, making sure its up to date for the year, or go as far as creating a brand new one for you. 

Can you help me manage my employees across multiple states?

Absolutely! We'll help you navigate the complex web of laws and regulations that apply to each state. We can assist you in developing policies and procedures that are compliant with each state's labor laws and regulations, and can help you ensure that you are meeting all of your legal obligations as an employer.

Can you help me manage my employees?

Yes! Although we do not offer recruiting services, from on-boarding to off-boarding and everything in between.

But that’s not all – Veronica’s insatiable curiosity keeps her on her toes, and she’s currently diving into the world of numbers as she works towards her CPA. 

With a background in marketing and technology, she’s the perfect blend of creativity and analytical prowess, bringing a fresh and innovative perspective to the table. Veronica’s infectious energy and passion for both her work and her family make her a true force to be reckoned with.

Wanda M. Medina

Head Accountant

Wanda M. Medina, the accounting guru extraordinaire, has been crunching numbers with finesse for over 25 years. Back in 2009, she waved her magic wand and founded MAVENTRI (formerly known as Simple Bookkeeping Solutions), bringing her expertise to the forefront of the financial world. Nowadays, you’ll find Wanda working her magic behind the scenes, spearheading special projects and donning her cape as the Head Accountant. 

With an MBA in Finance and Marketing under her belt, she’s a force to be reckoned with. And let’s not forget her secret superpower – she was once a certified Fraud Examiner, sniffing out numbers that just didn’t add up. When it comes to accounting, Wanda is the magician you want on your side.

Kira Colon, SHRM-CP

Chief Operating Officer

Meet Kira Colon, the dynamic HR powerhouse and our very own Chief Operating Officer at MAVENTRI! With a decade of experience in Human Resources under her belt, Kira is your go-to person for handling all those day-to-day HR and Payroll tasks with finesse. From administrative duties to providing personalized counsel and guidance, she’s got it all covered.

Kira is passionate about partnering with small businesses, bringing her expertise and dedication to the table. She’s on a mission to create HR and payroll systems that are compliant, streamlined, and technologically advanced, ensuring your business thrives in the modern world.

Betsy Medina

Chief Compliance Officer

Known as the affordable housing superhero with a heart of gold and over 25 years of experience in the industry! Starting as a housing counselor, she quickly rose through the ranks, overseeing multimillion-dollar programs and auditing properties with thousands of residential units. But that’s not all—Betsy’s expertise extends to being a licensed mortgage broker, real estate broker, and a seasoned pro in the tax credit industry.

Betsy has been a compliance champion, training employees across multiple states and ensuring adherence to regulations like LIHTC, Tax Exempt Mortgage Revenue Bond, and more. As a Senior Regional Compliance Analyst, she successfully managed a portfolio of 3500 units in various states, all while supervising a team of compliance specialists. With experience spanning from Florida to California and certifications like Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) and Fair Housing Certified (FHC), Betsy is a true housing hero.

Her knowledge extends to a wide range of programs, including HUD Section 8, Public Housing, and Rural Development. Plus, she even served as a board member on the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee. Betsy’s dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset in our mission to create affordable housing solutions for all.

Hector Colon

Accounting Associate & Process Engineer

Hector our resident numbers wizard and a vital part of the MAVENTRI team since 2017! Armed with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tulane University, he brings a unique blend of analytical prowess and creative problem-solving skills to the table. But that’s not all—Hector is also a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, making him a master in the art of bookkeeping magic.

His expertise doesn’t stop there! With his XERO Advisor Certification in hand, Hector effortlessly navigates the world of cloud-based accounting systems, ensuring our clients have the best solutions at their fingertips. And he’s not one to rest on his laurels—he’s currently gearing up to conquer the QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification, ready to take his skills to the next level.

Charmaine Stallworth, SHRM-CP

HR & Payroll Associate

Dive into the world of Charmaine. With a whopping 7+ years under her belt in the HR realm, she’s a master in regulatory compliance, process improvement, and basically all things human resources! Once hailed as the “employee chaos coordinator” at her former company, she’s your go-to for any employee quandaries and tangles.

From benefits administration to talent acquisition, training, development, and performance management, her portfolio is as deep as the ocean (which she happens to adore!).

Outside the office? Catch her vibing to music, getting lost in movies, casting a fishing line, or simply relishing everything water-themed. Her family ties are as strong as her passion for her career.

Guided by the philosophy: “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it” by Charles R. Swindoll, Charmaine sails through life’s storms with a poised and proactive approach. Facing adversities head-on, she firmly believes that it’s our responses that shape our outcomes.

Michelle Gregory

Senior Bookkeeper

Meet Michelle Gregory, MAVENTRI’s meticulous Senior Bookkeeper! Based in Utah with her three adorable dachshund “kids,” Michelle has a big heart for animals and would adopt them all if she could. When she’s not crunching numbers, you’ll find her camping, fishing, paddleboarding, or spending time with family and friends.

 

With over 10 years of experience in the financial and accounting industry and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Michelle thrives on organization, accurate transaction categorization, and making sure everything balances perfectly. She’s passionate about helping businesses understand their financial health and achieve their goals.
